Ward is a great fighter who got beat in a close fight. Unfortunately In boxing when they negotiate fights the side that is awarded the promotional rights has to pay the judges out of the purse which sometimes leads to friendships as the judges are wined and dined by the head promotional group of thei fighter ther representing sometimes leads to bad decisions. Hopefully someday this changes because no matter what anyone says Kovalev won that fight against Ward no worse than 116-112.

The referees and judges are chosen and paid by the athletic commission that operates in the state where the fight is taking place. Andre Ward won a close fight that could have gone either way. You contadict yourself too. Because you can't say it was a close fight and then say it was no better than 116-112 in Kovalevs favor. That isn't a close fight at all. So which one is it?

Didn't you say that Ward would duck a rematch? This is what champions do after a close fight, they rematch and try to remove all doubt. Someone should let Golovkin know how it's done. "Jacobs rematch 3 or 4 fights down the line"
