Wards holding was the reaction to Kovalev continually pushing his head down when he got close. That shit tires fighters out and holding supports the weight.

People acting like Kovalev doesn't do his fair share of "illegal tactics"..... I noticed Kovalev applying headlocks from the beginning and I didn't sweat him for it atall, it was a smart tactic to stifle Wards inside work. Most of these guys only complain when someone they don't like does "illegal" stuff.

Imagine seeing Freedom complaining about Ward's clinching while being a fan of Wladimir Klitschko, the king clinch man himself. Brook clinched like mad against Porter, didn't stop GGG fans putting their Cape over him against Spence the non-clincher.
