the "small segment of annoying fanboys" sadly enough makes up a segment of the dying breed of diehard boxing fans(or at least appears to).....guys that check boxing boards on a daily basis are supposed to be hardcore boxing fans....you dont have casuals popping on boxing boards man

Canelo is legit because canelo is legit...not because some fanboys say he is. People rightfully dissed canelo for avoiding the ggg fight, any other reason i don't really care about. Maybe the people that go on message boards are "hardcore" fans, maybe they're not...but one thing is certain, people are more concerned with scoring points off eachother in dumb arguments than discussing the sport in general. Being annoyed by people with differing opinions and wanting to put them in their place is usually more than enough to skew someone's judgment and make them post things they might not otherwise...and once you go that far, you might as well ride with it, dig in and take sides. The next step is full on trolldom.

Edit: legacies are defined by a body of work, not usually by a single win. Jacobs is a good win and canelo would be a very good win...but ggg still has a ways to go if he's concerned with cementing a legacy on par with the top fighters of his generation. Wasting away in obscurity over in europe cost him that. Personally i don't really care about the legacy stuff, cuz a lot of it can depend on a fighter being lucky enough to have solid opposition available to him and the fights actually getting made at the right time. Nowadays, everyone's a bum according to some idiot, so quality of resume becomes subjective. Legacies should be judged after the career is over anyway. I just want to see the best fighters showcase their skills against the best opposition available...but I'm not gonna cry if this fight or that fight doesn't get made for whatever reason.

Why do people always bring up Floyd when talking about gaylovekin? There's NOTHING to compare the 2. Floyd is an atg, 5 weight world champion #1 p4p recognized by EVERYONE at the time, hofer, 19 years as a world champ, undefeated, and beat the best of his time...golovkin has had not 1 significant career fight in 37, he's a bum beater, and then fights a B level guy and almost loses the fight, and wants no part of a rematch.

You 100% cannot compare the 2...It's a ******, whiny ass attempt to take attention of goloser, and try to bring up Mayweather. Still can't stand that Manny lost. Fuggin idiots
