One of the few times I'll agree with Kovalevs Camp. At LHW he's a much better Boxer than Ward is, his Jab is effective and his right is deceptively powerful.
I was big on Kovalevs Jab to the body before the fight but I can't remember him landing one. He rarely landed bodyshots as far as I can remember.

All Kovalev needs to do is show a bit more variety in his punches and keep Ward at a distance. Anything inside is Ward. Ward punches off the clinches & scores to the body, it's bread and butter for him. Kovalev showed he was petrified to fight at close quarters & the way the fight ended doesn't bode well for Kovalev, his head was getting snapped back.

He hasn't done himself any favors comparing Wards punching power to a 25 year old Russian Whore. He is setting up the same type of scenario as the first fight which will get into the judges psych. If he punches like a girl, live up to your Boxing nickname.

No, you krush him. Keep him at bay with the jab, when he tries to clinch, step back and catch him with the straight right. Once he gives up on the clinchfest, beat him to a pulp with the 1-2 combos. Keep hitting him until he takes a knee.

he boxed him well in the first fight until he faded, Ward looked old and uncomfortable at the weight but his ring IQ and skill got him through, really interested to see how #2 plays out

I put my money on Kovalev. He is a better boxer.
Generally the better fighter perform better in the second fight.
Kovalev run out of gas in the second half of their match, it was so obvious he wanted to fight, but had no energy.
Kovalev will win. I want him to KO Ward.

              1. Early rounds jab a lot and throw to the body a lot. Don't throw too many rights but throw a few to keep ward on his toes.
              2. If body work is paying off start throwing hard 1-2s body back to 1-2s and go for the KO.
The body shots get took definitely emptied his tank he was letting ward go to the body early it seemed like they didn't bother him but in the last few rounds they clearly did.

He definitely needs to go to the body more this fight and I suspect he will. He fell in love with that kd and went head hunting the rest of the fight which caused him to miss opportunities downstairs. He landed a few hooks to the body in the 11th and 12th that bothered ward but it was too little too late.

his talk and his fans talk doesnt add up...When he had Ward in the ring DURING a FIGHT, and knocked him down. Why didnt he "Krush" him then, why didnt he attack? Instead he initiated over 50 clinches.....to his fans, why didnt Ward just stay down and not get up, if he was/is so scared? /WARd is gonna walk Kitty down, and stop him.

I think Kovalev's best move is to box. He's got enough power that successful boxing can lead to KDs. Hunting for power shots is just going to limit him, tire him, and open him up for Ward to do what he does best.
