He looks to be decent i guess, but I don't see any magical upside to him. If he ever wins a strap, it is due to a weak division.

Groves is prob the best at 168 right now. Sparring mean nothing, im sick of itSo Caleb Plant wants Gilberto Ramirez, the Dirrels, and he claims he didn't lose a round sparring to George Groves. What y'all think? Does he have a chance to be a champ at 168#?

Well, I think we all agree we need to see him against better competition. If he truly is calling these dudes out, let's get it on.Comment

Not according to me.
Just watch them fight
Caleb doesn't get hit nearly as much...that's not an opinion it is a fact.
If you don't stand directly in front of Benevidez he is lost.Comment

I'm not disagreeing, dude. My only thing is, that maybe, the dudes that Plant Fought, maybe they weren't really capable of hitting him much, soooo, maybe thats why he hasn't gotten hit much....yet. But maybe you're right...he'll blast out DB. This is Boxing...anything can happen.....we won't Know for sure til they do It though. I hope sooner, than later......Comment

He fights on the ropes because his defense on the ropes is top notch and **** who doesn't need a breather in there lol.
Did you see the Medina fight? This mofo was parrying everything Medina threw and then countering him with hard debilitating shots. He actually showed things in the ring I didn't know he possessed (counter punching, block removal, the aforementioned defense on the ropes)
I like Plant, he shows a lot of tricks in that ring of a schooled fighter, but Benavidez looked like a genuine monster against Medina.Comment
