I agree. Kov faded late but Ward still got beat up. Ward has a good resume, nothing fake about that.

um, you do realise that only one of the guys you mentioned is even in kovalevs weight class and he has fought a single legit guy yet?

Most fans agree that Kovalev won the first fight. Referee was blind to Ward's constant holding and well the blind judges will one again be in Ward's corner for this fight. Boxing is an old sport and shady decisions have been around for just as long. Kovalev will be at a disadvantage in the rematch simply because the powerbrokers who control boxing will do everything they can to produce a Ward win. All close rounds will go to Ward, in order for Kovalev even to get a 10-8 round with a knockdown it will have to be devastating or else best he can hope for is 10-9. Heck his best chance is to knock Ward out and thats going to be hard since Ward will be holding for dear life while the referee looks up at the lights and fails to notice. That being said I hope Kovalev wins this even though the cards are stacked against him

But damn this could very well be a bad night for Ward.
Doubt Kovalev has enough speed or power to even KD Ward much less KO him.

Ward was getting staggered by jabs and got KD in the beginning of the fight because he hadn't gone up against that elite speed and power for what? Four years. It was bound to happen, but once his mind and body adjusted it became clear that Kovalev was not gonna KO this guy.

What's mind and body have caught up now and I can't see Kovalev winning the second fight at all, he certainly aint knocking down Ward again.

This shieet happens all the time. Think Amir Imam vs Granados, Imam knocked Granados the fuuck down twice in a row in the early goings, coz Granados aint never felt that kind of power before. But his mind and body adjusted and Imam couldn't knock him down or even keep him at bay for the rest of the fight.

Toreanu Johnson against that red head guy (forgot his name), same thing happened, that guy got knocked the fuuuck down twice but his mind and body adjusted to the power and he never fell down again and in fact made it a much closer fight than it should have been.

You'll see in the second fight, mark my words. Kov won't have anywhere near the kind of success he had early on in the first fight, both power wise and speed wise.

That's not a right frame of mind to go into a fight with one of the best boxers..
Kovalev tried to KO chilemba so bad and failed.. he should know better that what he did in the first half of the first fight worked well and has to repeat it for all 12 rounds..
