If you dont actively control wards head you will be met with some vicious headbutts, is what I got from this, and reminded me of the kessler fight, the way he dips down and comes charging forward and up (purposly looking for a headbutt almost) it's understandable that you end up wrestling with him just to keep his head from ramming you.

At least you can see clearly. I still can't believe there are people that can look at a man rushing forward with his head straight into another man's head and say it's not a headbutt.

He clearly slips the jab and steps in under it. Their heads don't come even close to touching, Wards head ends up by Kova's left shoulder.

Its one of the most basic moves in boxing dude, its hardly some super skilled move.

There are plenty of examples of ward headbutting, its a bit of a mental illness that you are picking examples of him not headbutting, and claiming that he is.

Ward has lost alot of speed and explosiveness the past few years and lacks any real power at LHW.He has to do stuff like this to surivive in a fight with a guy like kovalev. I have always respected wards skill level and thought of him very highly , but hes not the same guy he was in the super six. As of now hes actually kind of overrated, super six ward was a top p4p fighter this version is like a watered down clinch machine without any power.

Ward is probably the greatest of all time when it comes to clinch variety and the general slickness of his illegal infighting tactics.

Sergey is not moving forward at the same time. so it's not a mutual clash. this is just Ward going all the way to Sergey's head.
