Comments Thread For: Jackson: Gamesmanship By Ward's Team Shows They're Concerned

John David Jackson wouldn't have publicized his discussions with Andre Ward's handlers had they not divulged details of those talks in a story broken by BoxingScene.com on Monday night. But now that it's public knowledge that Josh Dubin, Ward's attorney and adviser, and James Prince, Ward's manager, made Jackson an offer to leave Sergey Kovalev to join Ward and head trainer Virgil Hunter, Kovalev's trainer doesn't think it'll disrupt the remainder of his fighter's training camp one bit. Jackson views the timing of their revelation as a failed psychological ploy as the light heavyweight championship rematch between Ward and Kovalev nears.

Can't wait to hear those fools who are hung on Ward's trousers and Jordan's talk this up!

I knew something was fishy about this especially since it came out of J.Prince's mouth!

Ward is shook in his Jordan boots, I've heard people who I know from the Bay said Dre been doing lots of neck exercises to prepare for the chin music Kovalev will play on Saturday night next month!

He knows what's coming, he cant outbox him, he tried to outwrestle him and he barely could even push him back!

The man had to fight dirty to make it look like he was doing something!

Now he's trying to make his opponents coach jump ship, what a hoe Ward is!

Andre "Son of Judges" Ward's punishment is COMING!!

At the end of the day, Team Ward took advantage of the uncertainty that was going on in Team Kovalev...But Kovalev himself has handled this quite well.

It's highly unlikely Ward will get two b2b robberies, so yea i would be highly concerned too.

I hope Kovalev ko's Ward. But everyone made it seem like it was a race thing when all it was is Kovalev just doesn't like Ward and the way he was show boating that he won that fight in which myself and almost 80% of people think Kovalev won

              What do you mean boyo?

Ehh, a bit cheeky there dont you think?

Ward has a history of doing dirty tactics in his fights, he realized he couldn't outjab Kov or counter him from the outside!

His best bet was to go inside where he got smacked up as well but of course the judges gave more credit to the few body shots he landed instead of the short hooks Kov landed on the inside even though they did more damage!

Kov figured by round 12, hey this guy has been going downstairs why don't I give it a try and we saw what happened! Ward grimaced in pain and turned to his side and tried to clinch!

I expect Kov to dish even more punishment to Ward's face and this time more to his body!

Concerned about what? He already beat Kovalev once and easily.

                  Wait!...

... almost everybody here knows how much I dislike Ward!!!

... That fight was at most a draw!!!... i.e. 114-113 on the scorecards, in Kov's favor...
