"You have to take the title from the champion"

    Anyone tired of reading this?

If the fight is close and the judges give it to the challenger then so be it.

Just because you're the champion doesn't mean you should always get the benefit of the doubt in a 12 round fight.

If a champion can't distinguish himself from the challenger he can only blame himself.

A challenger should win at least 10 rounds...

Yea. Boxing has a lot of outdated &/or silly cliché quotes like that.

*punch lands* "See him shaking his head....that means he was hurt".

Or maybe he was legit not hurt & legit f#cking with the other guy.

Those things we've heard a half a million times at this point sorta make me cringe as a boxing fan for the guy saying it cuz whoever says stuff like that has clearly had his best days or shouldn't be doing the job. Its just time filler bs.

This just reminded me of how Roy and Kellerman always have the same scripted conversation every time someone shakes their head. Lol

This quotation has been misinterpreted for a very long time. It does not mean that you have to do much more than the champion.

All it means is that if the fight is a draw, the champion keeps the title. Simple as that. That is the ONLY advantage that a champion has.

These unsaid rules only apply when its the house fighter/money fighter. Then the announcers try to spin it; telling you, what you did not see with your own eyes. Been happening for years.
