    What if Tarver Loses?

If Tarver loses this fight then his whole career basically means nothing, e****ally the 2 wins over RJ. How can he lose to a 40 year old MiddleWeight who just lost his last 2 fights? What could he say about the loss? The only excuse he could make was that he had to gain too much weight for the Rocky movie and it took to much out of him to get back down.

Then people would rip him because they would say that he wouldnt let Jones use that as a excuse for his loss against him. Tarver would be seen as just a overrated loud mouth who just caught a great fighter in Jones at the perfect time and hasnt done anything else in the sport.

Then I also think it would make the Rocky movie suck. I think it will suck anyway because its too strange to get a current, known fighter to be the bad guy but if he loses to a guy like Hopkins before the movie comes out then it will take the appeal off how tough this so called bad guy is. Mainstream fans will say "isnt that the guy who just lost to the littile guy"?

I think Hopkins also caught some gifts at the right time but his legacy will pretty much be secure no matter what but if Tarver loses then everything he has done good means nothing

Merchant I think said on the countdown show that got me thinking. He said something like Tarver might be training to beat the scale instead of training to beat Hopkins. We will see how he shows up for the fight. I personally want him to get ko'ed.

it proves nothing if he wins . If he loses then he should shut his mouth for good he has done nothing but beat an older fighter and he really has done very little to be so damn ****y

If Tarver loses than I will be very happy and Bernard will (hopefully) go out with a win.

If Tarver loses, he can always suck up to Rocky and ask to be included in the next installment.

If he loses, he'll fight Johnson a third time I imagine...

I hope he does retire after this, regardless of the outcome. It has been irking my wife and myself for a while now after seeing him say that he promised his mother that he would retire from the ring before he turned 41. Maybe it's just us though.

Tarver loses and it proves that he truly is a B+ Fighter.
