If he intends to continue boxing full-time for a few more years, first of all he should face a few solid journeymen (guys who can give him rounds and will throw punches in return) to regain confidence in his facial bones, otherwise that nagging doubt will keep reoccurring whenever things get tough and he'll turn into a serial bottler

The business if boxing
Kell Brook was defeated by the business of boxing. He couldn't get a big money fight at welterweight so he accepted an illadvised middleweight fight against GGG to make some real money for once. Eddie Hearn did him a disservice by even offering him that fight. If he wanted to move to middleweight it should have been a gradual process. Roy Jones Jr. with his upward and downward journeys in weight and the ensuing misfortunes in the ring that he suffered should be a cautionary tale for fighters to never attempt such a fool's errand. But Kell Brook needed the money and Eddie Hearn dangled the carrot in front of the donkey's face and we got the expected results. I like Errol Spence and he deserves all of the accolades he is receiving for defeating Brook in his hometown. But I feel that Kell Brook was guided poorly by his promoter in his recent decisions and has been dealt a raw deal because of it. Two orbital bone fractures later we are all left to wonder what will be his way forward from here on out.

Idk why 154 is so much better than 147 for Brook. If he can make 147 he can make 147.
And lets be real. 147 is where the money is at. There isn't anything sexy for Brook at 154. And this is ultimately a job for boxers & its probably more highly considered by most boxers then some expectation of their legacy in the sport after their f#cking dead lol.
I don't understand this move up for the sake of moving up stuff. Move up when it makes sense & its a case by case thing. Ward made a good move moving up cuz 168 had nothing for him & 175 is loaded. Crawford should have or should be moving up soon cuz there is nothing at 140 & 147 is a sexy division. GGG shouldn't have moved up like he didn't cuz Canelo is the big money fight in all of boxing & he was all but destined to get that fight sooner or later. Brook just gave Spence a solid challenge & there is a potential for a rematch there I imagine, in Texas this time, + he gots the Khan fight that keeps being lured around + 147 is the money division of the smaller guy divisions & whats at 154 that's getting him paid or challenging him more then the murderers row of cats at 147?
Not to say you shouldn't move up if you just got issues making weight, but there is a basic common sense at the value of staying at your current weight or the value of moving up when that division is sexier or your current division has nothing for you + you're THAT good.

Although the retire thing might make the most sense of any other choice with his injuries in his last 2 fights.
When is 7 digits not a worthy reward vs the injuries & damage you could sustain that could last the rest of your life? How many 7 digit paydays do you need before you decide you don't wanna risk the potential long term negative ramifications of boxing? Those are the difficult questions that Brook (or any boxer really) should be pondering at this point of his career.

Honestly, I don` believe he beats Jermell, Hurd, Lara, Andrade, J Rock. He can beat some other guys in division.

With more surgery on the way, Brook will have more metal in his face than the Terminator. Not sure that he has too many fights ahead of him at any weight. One thing for certain, he needs to avoid heavy-fisted opponents from here on out. Make that fight with Khan next year and call it a day.
