WTF. This is crazy. I would like to hear what Kovalev, Egis or Main Events have to say about it before I take it as fact, but either way, that is a pretty crafty move by Prince to go public with this.

It is common knowledge that Kovalev is a di*k. I'm sure he can wear on trainers. Abel kicked him out of his gym a long time ago. It wasn't about not working hard...it was about questioning everything and not being coachable. However, I don't see anything wrong with adding a Russian coach to his team. When you need to understand exact, precise instructions, a basic understanding of a second language just doesn't cut it. I'm surprised there are so many fighters/trainers that do not 100% understand each other.

I'll wait for some proof before condemning JDJ. I get there are issues in the camp and all that but you resolve that like men by either working it out or by leaving the fighter. I really hope this isn't true, that would be treacherous...yet this is the Ward camp and they've been playing mind games so who the fk knows what's true.

To me, Kovalev has been imploding since the last fight. All of this is just another symptom. I'm honestly expecting s huge Ward win at this point.

Remember the can you hear me now guy from Verizon? Michael Flynn? If he didn't have a contract I think he could go but as it stands I think this is just another way to try and get ticket sales and into kovs head

Ok.. if it's true then Kovalev better come out clean and state the obvious.. Bad move from JDJ, you don't discuss about going to your enemy's corner in the build up to an exciting fight..

Trainer-switching is a sign of lack of confidence in a fighter. Trying to put the blame on everyone else but himself. Team Ward did good on not that accepting Jackson in the team and the explanation as to why makes sense.
Why would a fighter that feels he got robbed be confident in a rematch? Kovalev got the L on the scorecards so he is the one who has to make adjustments robbery or not

Sometimes I think Virgil's advice is aimed at the spectator/audience.

It seems like theatre to me at times. Andre Ward is probably a special case because they have a real bond.

But with his other fighters it seems like theatrics to me. Pretty sure Khan doesn't listen to a word he says or actually understand him. Khan ain't the sharpest tool in the box and Virgil is an eloquent guy.

I genuinely think most fighters hear nothing in that corner. Might benefit more from a man ensuring they get a drink and helping them fill their lungs with air.
