I mean what is the the rush, if both guys are the goods they will meet at either 130 or 135. Davis still has plenty to prove and while Lomachenko would prove the most he can take a more gradual approach and build up his profile in the process making that fight much bigger down the road.

Davis does need to fight Lomachenko if he wants to be considered the man but he is not even really number 2 yet at 130 so he can work on that first.
