The truth is, Floyd almost definitely would have avoided Spence.
But that is fair, because Spence is far larger than Floyd. Spence is bursting at the seams at WW, while that is what Floyd walks around at. Spence packed on almost 20 lbs for the Brook fight, after weigh in. Floyd avoided GGG at 154, and again that was always a fair choice. Floyd isn't a 154 pounder, no reason to fight the best there.
Imagine a WW version of prime Floyd adjusted for size. I know that's a weird thing to say. But Spence could beat Floyd at WW, doesn't mean he is better. Floyd at the weight he was bursting at, was close to unstoppable as well.
You need another fighter bursting at the seams of WW to beat Spence. Like Spence said to Brook, you need a fighter your own size. Currently that would be Thurman. Still think Spence probably destroys Thurman, but I'm talking about the people with the best chance. Historically, Tito could of course KO Spence at WW, imo.
