    When did Duran get people's respect again after the Leonard loss?

    Was it specifically the Davey Moore fight? I wasn't born at the time but was Duran favoured going into that fight. Or was it the Barkley fight.

    Thats a great question.

    He gave great fights before and after of course.

    I think he had enough equity built up for it to not damage his career beyond repair, so Im not sure he ever had to get it back in the first place.

    Funny thing about Duran, all of his duds seem to have been forgiven.

      Yes it was when he ko Davy Moore & became Jr middle wgt champ. Wow, no offense, but I realize now that a lot of posters here weren't born during the 80's & that's why there is a lot of disrespect to fighters who have accomplished so much.
