Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Backs Philippines President in War on ISIS

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao gave staunch support for President Rodrigo Duterte's martial law declaration on Monday, saying the country should be "grateful" for its strong leader. Duterte last week declared martial law in the southern Mindanao region to combat what he called a rising threat posed by the Islamic State group, after militants rampaged through a city triggering deadly battles.

He is training for a fight, mismatch or not, and now ISIS troops are attacking the country and he has to deal with that at the same time.

If Floyd backed a war on ISIS it would be headline news on every website.

To me it sounds like Duterte wants to ignore his country's constitution and congress in order to do whatever he wants.

Which is acting more like a dictator than a president.

If Chicago was attacked in full scale invation by Isis terror groups, I would bet Trump would Martial Law that ass and would ignore the cries of the congress to stop the martial law.

You actually think something like that can happen in a big city in the US? Lol. The citizens would murk them before the military shows up. The difference is the people in the US have weapons and don't have a problem using them.

No problem with using Martial Law, but everything else he does is crazy.

We have strict gunlaws in the Philippines and politicians funding drug groups, you have it easy because it is in the U.S and easy to judge a country when you don't know what is happening. I had it hard when I grow up, and finally got to immigrate to a first world country, but before that, you would be lucky that you get past High School not already influenced in drugs.

Yeah, you probably forgot that drugs in the philippines aren't ******* and marijuana or your ordinary drugs. It is modified Meth that literally destroys brain cells. There have been already 2000+ accounts of fathers raping their own daughters and murdering them while under the influence of drugs in the last 10 years in the philippines, is that **** an innocent crack head to you? Or how about a son killed his own mother because she wouldn't want to give him money to buy drugs but rather using her last 2 dollars to buy some rice. Drugs here aren't mainstream drugs that is just making you high, it makes you do unimaginable things to your own family.

I think they have a gun problem in PI actually.

And you think dictatorship is the solution?

If they just wipe out Mindanao it will make the country a better place. That's where most of their terrorism and kidnappings seem to come from based on what I've read.
