I didn't see Canelo get tired against JCC Jr. I did see him consistently throw about 50 punches a round and refuse to sit between rounds. I have not seen incredibly stamina from GGG but that is because his fights rarely reach the championship rounds.

Golovkin does have an excellent jab and timing but he's there to be hit. Canelo will need to beat him to punch with his power punch combo's and then try and avoid some of GGG's punches.

Yes Golovkin is taller but that is why the JCC Jr fight was an experience gaining fight for Canelo. It gave him the opportunity to fight a taller fighter....although JCC Jr fights small.

Canelo's is a counter puncher but in my opinion, his counter punching is rooted in power punch combo's and that makes him somewhat different than a lot of counter puncher.

Stylistically this should be an excellent fight. Can't wait.

This definitely will be an excellent fight. The issue with JCC Jr being taller is that he doesn't fight using his height to where Canelo knew that nothing was really a threat going inside against him. GGG's stamina is pretty good though to where its consistent throughout the match. He was at the same place against Murray, Lemieux and Jacobs which were long fights and didn't seem to get winded. Canelo admitted he was getting tired in the post-fight interview

Canelo is only 26 yrs old so there was no reason to rush him into a Golovkin fight. Time is/was on Canelo's side.

In my opinion, Canelo has the advantage in hand speed. I also believe Canelo is the sharper puncher of the two and his combo's are better. Golovkin is heavier handed and has a superior jab.

Yes, Canelo is younger but I haven't seen enough of him dominating good fighters to suggest or even warrant a ko win against Ggg. He couldn't catch Lara, Cotto or Chavez jr (he only has a good chin) with a shot to drop them let alone a ko. I just don't see him taking GGG's shots for 12 rounds and winning a decision. It's really how he handles Golovkins power to see how he loses.
