It's interesting how the views differ so greatly on this fight. The best that I can hope for for Canelo is a flash KO so he can come back sound, because he's a young kid and has a long career ahead of him. My concern is that he's a durable kid with a lot of heart and winds up taking a brutal beating.

I think it was a matter that there was no choice that he was going to have to move up to 160, but man I do not like this fight for Canelo. This isn't like Floyd where he was just embarrassed and made a schit ton, he can really get hurt here.

And it's not that I don't think he has skills he does, but at 160 this is a real bad match up for him. IMO

I think GGG needs to get him out of there by the 8th. Canelo puts in great bodywork that could slow GGG down later in the fight and Canelo could take over the fight. The whole fight depends on Canelo ability to absorb the GGG power shots. If he can, he will win the fight. GGG has slowed down a bit it seems and CANELO puts his combinations together nicely which will win him rounds with the judges. Gonna be an interesting fight. Either way, GGG will get no credit for beating a "smaller" Canelo, or he will be "exposed" as a bum if he loses.

How exactly has GGG slowed down? Because he didnt destroy a game 6'1 huge Jacobs? He broke Brooks face.

If GGG fought Chavez jr, liam smith and khan he would have stopped all of them within 4 rounds.. Lets see how Canelo holds up against Jacobs and Brook. Gtfoh

I feel you. This fight might be competitive the first few rounds. After the midway point Canelo is going to dog him out. I bet the lil g super supporters will hesitate on putting their account on the lines as they have very little faith in little g.

Both fighters have skill the biggest difference is one fighter is fighting at his weight and the other is moving up. It would be close to even if the fight took place at jr middleweight. But as it stands right now GGG has most of the advantages over Canelo. The only way Canelo wins is by stopping Ggg and I don't see that happening. Plus Ggg can win by UD and by stoppage. I think it will be entertaining while it lasts but the odds are stacked against a Canelo win. Besides hyping the fight there is a reason why this fight didn't happen sooner, Canelo's handlers didn't think he was ready.

I still think golden boy took the fight because Golovkin has been looking bad. If they were serious before i don't see why they didn't acclimate canelo to middleweight.
