  • Comments Thread For: Bellew: Brook Had The Fight Beaten Out of Him By Errol Spence

Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew was not very happy with the way Kell Brook decided to end his fight with Errol Spence on Saturday night. Bellew was ringside, and watched Brook lose his IBF welterweight title to unbeaten Errol Spence at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground.

Easy to say when you aren't the one who nearly could have went blind and he felt the other eye go in the 7th. Duran quit brook shed muscle to get back down to welter the eye and exhaustion made him do it not a brave move but blind for what to make Bellew happy? Brook wanted to be able to look at his kids

He had the fight beat out of him doe, he just couldn't continue anymore. The eye excuse wasn't well thought out. Broke eye socket without real confirmation, they just came out with it seconds after the fight.

Some things you just can't fight through. A broken face in one of them. Brook did the right thing, save his sight to fight another day.

He was trying to quit before the 11th. Go back to when his trainer was telling him, "Don't say anything!" Not sure which round it was, but he was trying to quit then. He was done, but tried to muster up a bit more in the 10th. His corner wanted it more than he did.

True but he quit plain and simple. If he retires then ok but we all know he isn't and he is going to talk sh it which makes the quit even more laughable.
I would have probably quit but I would be smart enough to say I'm done. I'm moving on

My prediction was that Brook was the better boxer, but that his mind wouldn't be 100% after that last loss. That Spence's relentlessness would break him, mentally. It's hard to go through a tough loss like that Golovkin fight and come back with full confidence in your next fight. That doesn't take away anything Spence did because, even if Brook didn't quit, the physical beating was about to end the fight.

Butch another fake fan eye surgeon who fixed his other broken orbital bone was there and examined him in the ring and hospital tests later on confirmed orbital fracture I know you could have fought through it

Spence deserves more credit, it didn't have much to do with Brook's last fight. He really didn't take a beating against GGG. GGG started turning it up in rd4 and he got pulled out in 5. He's no broken fighter. In my opinion, the version of him yesterday probably beats every other ww.
