Algieri was only using 1% of his true power against Spence. He won't even have to be UNLEASHED from his cage to win the rematch, he'll only need to increase his power to 2%.Comment

Dude you sound like a self righteous twat and don't seem to have a clue either about me and my post history or the use of the English language or how to measure boxer's current levels and their upsides.
Handled means he was beaten. I have said in other posts that I like Porter as a fighter for various different reasons but while he has great athleticism and an incredible motor he doesn't have the skills of either Thurman or Brook and that is why both those fighters clearly got by him. Brook neutralized his physicality and Thurman's athleticism and better offensive skills got him by Porter and for that matter Garcia.
Spence is very good and I said after the Algieri fight he'd be avoided and was a future star. But ... I saw things about him that were good and bad in this fight. Just keeping it real rather than at the trough slurping.
Sorry, I didn't know you had a different meaning for a word, than everyone else. Thanks for clearing up the confusion though. Cheers mate!

That's very true. If Shawn would have said anything negative about Spences' performance people would say he is jealous. So its nothing wrong with giving props when its due.Comment

Porter sounds like a cheerleader. I can almost picture him with pom poms doing this interview. Don't big up a guy in your own weight class. Although that is Porter's personality, he's a humble guy and all, but i'd like to see more fire come out of guys in such a hot division.Comment

The rest of the U.S. uses handled to mean "easily beaten" or "badly beaten." I ain't self-righteous at all douche bag, just saying, everyone has been on high on Spence for a long while now, it didn't just suddenly happen. He finally proved the bandwagon was right this time. Bandwagons are sometimes right and sometimes wrong, but the Spence hype train has been going for a while now.

Now - the sine qua non - of using "handle" as a verb is to know that it takes an adverb afterwards. So adding "easily" afterwards would allow the verb to take on the usage you want to apply to it.
Now go forth and multiply!Comment
