Keith "One time" Thurman vs Errol "The truth" Spence - Who wins and why?

Who will be the man at 147 and why?

I'm not sure but I believe Spence will win. It's a 55/45 fight to me, I'm favouring Spence but I'm not saying it will be easy.

Thurman is very smart and maybe better than Brook in some aspects. He's also not a small WW. But he's one inch shorter than Brook. Maybe Spence handles him a little easier than he handled Brook.

Again, I don't see Thurman stopping Spence.

I would've clearly favored Thurman in this fight if it wasn't for his inability to take body punches well. Thurman can outbox and outfight Spence while making less mistakes than Spence, he has power, grit and very good foot movement. But he's not that good a mover that Spence won't be able to land on his body, the head can move but the body can only move much less, so Spence will land to the body and he'll land hard shots, if Thurman can take the body blows then he can win a decision.

My opinion is based on what I've seen from both guys so far, Thurman has been in a number of tough fights against high level pressure fighters and he was victorius, he always looked comfortable (except when hit to the body) When Porter was trying to bully him on the ropes he fought back well and managed not to get overwheled for 7-8 rounds and that won him the fight, Errol Spence is better than Porter in a way that he manages distance a bit better and he doesn't smother his work like Porter but for a southpaw he fights too much in straight lines and he's prone to the right hand. Spence might come in to the Thurman fight much sharper than he was last night though, that experience is only gonna help him and if Thurman fights him right away coming off a long layoff and an injury u have to favor Spence.

Give Thurman the edge because of his speed, mobility and stamina.

I'm worried about his tendency to get caught lying on the ropes, he didn't look comfortable there against Guerrero or Porter, Spence is a beast when he gets you on the ropes, creates space very well and puts a beating on you.

It will be a very close fight.

I've gone back and forth on this. If we get the new version of Keith Thruman, the one who thinks he's Floyd Mayweather, the Keith that tries to outbox his opponent to a decision, then Spence wears him down and stops him easily. If the old version of Thurman shows up, the one who would overwhelm opponents with volume and power, then I think it's a near 50/50 fight with Spence being a slight favorite.

Keith is a canny boxer and think he has a fair degree of success early, (as did Kell) but I also think than Thurman is not as physically strong as Brook, and also seems a little vulnerable to bodywork which appears to be one of Errol's strengths. His physical advantages and accumulated damage will start to sway things in Spence's favour the longer the fight goes IMO.

I got Spence by late TKO after possibly being behind at the halfway point.
