GGG's name is getting thrown around after Brooks loss to Spence and some people believe GGG had a mental or physical impact.

It would be interesting to see the poll results.

Honestly speaking it does, not from a physical standpoint but from a mental point.

An undefeated Brook would have lost a decision instead of taking a knee and getting stopped. Brooks gas tank at 147 is not infallible and Spence's dedication to the body means he'd probably beat the best version of Brook.

Good post. I also believe it affected him mentally.

Taking the 3G fight looks like a big mistake.

I mean, sure, he made a lot of money and his profile rose - but he took a physical and mental beating, and was now messing around with his weight. It was a fight he was never, ever going to win. Taking a risk at that point was the right thing but it was with the wrong fighter.

Regardless Errol still would of won. lil g is coming to an end soon. If he beats canelo he has 0 excuses to fight the top guys (he lost to Jacobs unofficially).

It couldn't have helped I imagine.

I for one believe in delusion, confidence & the mental game being a fair to big part of success at this level of boxing. And I say that not with the belief to insult boxers cuz I think a certain amount of delusion is good for anyone trying to be successful at an extremely high level in competitive worlds of which boxing is merely one example of.

That being the case I think L's hurt your ability to be delusional about your skills, talent & just overall ability to be successful. So I pretty much ALWAYS think a guy who's recently lost for the first time, a shocking moment to most elite level fighters, who's going into another tough fight has a chance to crack at a higher clip then I'd expect that same guy to have done previously. And if you follow every boxers career in the history of the sport, from 1st to last L, you'll see there are many more fights in any particular guys career to every guys career that suggest thats the rule with only a much smaller % of exceptions. Tyson went down swinging in his first L, quit on the stool in his last would be the meme of that theory.

Or basically tldr losing gets easier.

Fighters bounce back from losses all the time.

                No excuses.

GG didn't thrash Kell all the bad.

                  Come on now Chola.

Spence is the one that broke the other eye.

Brook would have lost without the GG fight

The only thing I'm surprised about after the GGG fight, is that he didnt quit this fight earlier.
