Why in boxing do "fans" always discredit a win?

It doesnt happen with any other sport.

Cant we just all say Spence beat a very good elite opponent in a very good fashion?

Spence could easily be the future P4P star of boxing. There's something about him, that just screams star power. Also his style in the ring.

It's just the nature of boxing.
It happens so much and we're all so use to it, if you read back old threads you'd find the prediction for what the excuses will be when Brook lost.
        Some are pretty accurate.

It was a real good win for Spence.

Last night after the fight i saw a few threads questioning if Brook was any good to begin with. Personally, i rate him, and have always found him to be underrated myself.
His CV should look better for a guy of his ability, sure, but he can fight alright. I've always said it would take a top quality opponent to beat him.

There were rounds last night that showed why Brook is held in high regard. He looked like he was comfortable at times and boxing well. I had him building up a decent(ish) lead at one stage even though it was competitive still.

There were 2 real good fighters on show. And i feel Spence's win was more about his high ability level rather than Brooks lack of.
Spence's early body work came to fruitation. He also found a second gear at an important time.

I think Brook is a really good fighter, and losing to another really good fighter doesn't make him average or hyped IMO.
Spence's stock went up for sure. The talent he looked to have had all along, last night he displayed it on the big stage against a top quality opponent.
