    2017 fighter of the year????

At about the half way point, crowded field. so far this year:

Anthony Joshua- quickly becoming the heir apparent to Floyd and manny as the face of boxing

    Canelo- if he beats ggg

Spence/Thurman winner if they fight later this year

Andre Ward if he can clearly beat kovolev

    Golovkin if he beats canelo

Lomachenko if he can beat salido over the summer and another top guy late in the year

Gervonta Davis- dark horse but if he can squeeze another 2-3 fights in this year against quality competition he could be the man

    Any other contenders?

IF Crawford can beat Indongo and Pac this year, that would be hard to argue against.

Spence/Thurman winner would be a lock if they fought this year IMO. Both already have an elite win this year.

Canelo beating GGG would be huge though.

If Golovkin could beat Jacobs and Canelo, and Spence could beat both Brook and Thurman, they'd be great years for them both for sure.

Usually I like to pick a fighter with at least two quality wins. Bonus points if their stock went up significantly as a result and/or they were expected to lose either or both of those fights.

By the end of this summer my shortlist will be any fighter with a good win already that has another good fight scheduled.
