  • Comments Thread For: Julio Ceja Drops, Stops Anselmo Moreno in Three Rounds

In a fifteen-year career defined by a slick defense and canny reflexes, 31-year old former WBA bantamweight titlist Anselmo Moreno (36-6-1, 12 KO), 120 , of San Miguelito, Panama, appears not to have enough of either anymore. One fight after losing an absolute war against Japan's Shinsuke Yamanaka, Moreno appeared to have very little war left in him.

Woah! are you serious? I got to find a YT link. I thought this was a miss-match. Totally shocked.

He basically quit and signaled the end of his career. He was boxing well and then he gets hit with one shot, goes down and then stays down and decides he's had enough.

Hey man I just seen the replay and was about to post this....disappointed in 'Chemito' that looked like a dive, yeah I know the uppercut landed but something is off.

            Damn has Moreno fallen off..

At one time about 6-7 years ago I thought he was a legit top level p4p guy

He was a p4p level fighter back in 2011 and 2012. He even gave Yamanaka two really tough fights. But the last fight clearly took a lot out of him.

Didn't see a dive; saw disinterest. His legs and reflexes are declined and he looked like he was sleepwalking. That Yamanaka rematch took more out of him than just the physical if I had to guess. Time to get on with life.

Damn, didn't see this one, sounds like the end or Moreno. Ceja vs Vargas is a good fight

I caught this one on one of the channels from my Spanish package Ceja looked good, but he will pretty much anyone standing in front of him...I doubt he beats Rey Vargas who is too upright, mobile, and with a tremendous advantage in height and reach you'll keep him at a distance all night and win a UD 12... still many congratulations to say hi a good efficient job ....
