Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Tabs Errol Spence To Beat Kell Brook in Sheffield

FLOYD MAYWEATHER JNR says Gervonta Davis is the future of boxing. Davis certainly lived up to the hype with a stunning performance to stop Liam Walsh and defend his IBF super-featherweight title. While tonight another American, Errol Spence Jnr, takes on Britain's IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, with the Yanks also hoping he is the next superstar from that side of the Atlantic.

People are so shocked Brook can get down to 147 the man is not even 5'10 Brooks muscular but in the real world Brook is short about 5'8 3/4 and is not a big guy.

Just because he likes to eat and blows up to 170+lbs don't mean that's his natural weight. For his frame that's probably leaning more towards overweight actually....

Brook is 31 now so maybe he should be at 154 but he won't be a big JMW and if he simply stayed in shape in between fights he should be able to make 147 but I think he just likes food and let's himself go a bit in between fights..

But being that Kell will probably blow right back up after this fight. Win or lose he should go up to 154 and do the fight with Cotto that they were entertaining not to long ago If Cotto still wants it..

Warren's a veteran in the promotion business . Hypes up his fighters the whole article then casually mentions that he's siding with Errol Spence . Hell ... He got me to read the whole article.

The weight subject is sometimes more complex than fighters like Ricky Hatton blowing up between fights and becoming fat,and fighters who are naturally stocky like Kell, whos natural weight is alot more than 170lbs,and weighed more than Golovkin 30 days before their fight ,yet is the smaller man in boxing terms.

At 154 he would be facing boxers who are his size or bigger on fight night, that's not good for Kell, unless he fights the same sort of terrible opposition like he did at 147, he would be beaten by the top guys at 154.

Spence has more talent than Crawford, Golovkin, Canelo and Ward, if he lives up to the hype tonight. He just looks so complete, maybe not doing everything the best, but doing everything well.

Warren picking against an Eddie Hearn promoted fighter. Wow, I never would have thought this would ever happen! I'm so shocked right now! I can't believe it!
