Hearns and Leonard were all time greats in their prime and it was an even fight. Spence and Brook are excellent welterweights in their prime and their fight is also a close match. I have never though of Hearns when watching Brook fight. Brook has a good jab and a good straight right. Hearns had a great left jab and a legendary straight right. Spence doesn't have Leonard's lightning hand and foot speed or Leonard's iron jaw. He probably hits harder than Leonard and he is a much better body puncher. That's my opinion on it anyway.

"The modern Hagler-Hearns" was what people were calling that.

                exactly.

As someone who saw that fight live and was around during the buildup to that fight-no it doesn't.
