wrong!
This is exactly what's wrong with boxing.. they keep rewarding someone who keeps leaching off of other boxer's fame.. and now other fighter's.. I don't understand how his fans can claim "he sold" the fight.. when clearly he's never even been the fan favorite.. and when he fought nobodies like baldo and guerrero? what he sell? it took established fan favorite boxers for him to sell his bs.. and boxing networks ate it all up.. and now they're willing to reward someone who's never stepped in a boxing ring a ton of money, because he earned it? or because mayweahter is back to his leaching day? TV networks are the only ones getting hurt with this.. why don't they add monetary values to rankings.. but then again the councils can appoint anyone as top contenders as they please..
i really think that in order for boxers to get a pay day, they need to fight ranked, active, winning, boxers in or around their weight classes, and not sanction beatdowns that could leave people permanently damaged. Salka!
