  • Comments Thread For: Spence: It's Time to Shut Up, Glove Up & Go to War With Brook

Now that Errol Spence Jr. and Kell Brook have made weight for their 147-pound title fight Saturday night in Sheffield, England, Spence says it's now time to be about it, not talk about it. The three-month buildup toward one of the most anticipated fights of 2017 is over. For Spence, it's time to justify all the praise with which he has been showered over the past couple years.

Kids confident but it's borderline arrogance . He's in for a rude Awakening tomorrow. Saying he's going for the knockout? Good luck. If GGG couldn't floor him I don't see Spence doing it either. Plus it's in England

You agree with him that Spence talked a lot of shyt?? Lol, he's one of the most mild mannered guys in the sport. He looks stoned half the time.

Lol he does have a stoned expression but look he's extremely confident and pumped I get that. But right after Brook accepted the fight and people were praising Brook Spence was quick to say, "don't praise him he barely took the fight and didn't really want it". And in the weeks leading up he's gotten more vocal and seems like he's overlooking Brook and talking about Thurman. I just think this is gonna be a damn good fight but if it's close I don't see Spence winning

Ohhh my! Arrogance in a combat sport...what a novelty. Lol. This is a sport fueled off of hubris.

I think Spence is taking this W. No offense to any mega Brook fans, but taking everything into consideration here...

I think it will be competitive, but Spence has more tools. I also think Brook is carrying more vulnerability into this fight coming off of the Golovkin loss.

Spence has done all of the right things by getting to the UK ahead of schedule, his temperament is rock solid, he hasn't let himself be baited verbally even a little. I don't think any of the intangibles are in Brook's favor, and I see Spence as a slicker guy with KO power in both hands.

Mad respect to Brook for going from GGG straight to Spence, but I don't think he'll be the same guy after this fight.

But of course it's boxing and maybe I'm wrong, can't wait to see it!
