  • Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: When I Beat Spence - I'm The Man, Number One at 147

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) believes that a victory over Errol Spence (21-0, 18 KOs) would make him the number one welterweight in the division - raising him above the other champions Keith Thurman and Manny Pacquiao. Brook will make his mandatory defense against Spence on Saturday night at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.

Not really..............I see him saying this a lot and i have no problem with that because boxers have to say that, my biggest problem is people want to tell me the same thing as well, but am not having it. Brook is NOT the man at 147 win or lose against spence. His resume at 147 is terrible, you have to prove it not just say it. He does have the potential to be the man or number one guy at 147 but until he starts fighting better competition then he would remain number 3/4 guy at 147.

      unbelievable bias from khanturds

First you said he would duck Spence, probably pull out with an injury or some crap, now it's not relevant. 3/4 guy... jesus.

Tell me exactly what makes Thurman's resume better if Brook beats Spence? What did Danny Garcia do at WW that's better than Spence?

It's between him and thurman if he wins.

Only one way to find out.

I'd still give Pacquiao a solid chance to beat either... too bad Arum would rather Manny fight Jeff Horn and weak resume 140lb. hype job Crawford.

Pacquiao isn't going to fight either one of them. Which is okay, he's old -

But it also means he's not in the race.

Errol Spence is not even worried about all that talk. Spence already stole Brooks fans, most of them are chanting #MANDOWN. This is like taking candy from a baby.

Look at this sucker, Errol has him shook not even Golovkin had this boy this nervous.

He's best win is Thurmans best win but done better. If he beats Spence that beats Thurmans win over Garcia. Thurman hasn't proven anything if Brook hasn't.

I'd say the winner of this fight is the best at 147. But, to seal it, they will have to bet Thurman. It would set that fight up nicely.

I wouldn't argue with that IF he does. We'll see in a day.
