Canelo had lowered the bar so much that guys are getting credit for fighting their mandatory challengers?

Sure brook hasn't fought the best competition but since hes den an actual champ of the division, which let be real, he won the title from a legit belt older and top-5 guy in the prime of. His career. So it's not like he won a game title via vacancy or cherry pick fluke etc. he won a close but clear decision.

He did make one or two weak ass voluntarism (not sure if both of those dudes jo jo Dan and vizier I thjnk. The.n gavin - not sure if they were all volunteers or if some were mandatorily. Also not sure if all three were after he won the belt.

Anyway point being in THE PAST he fough Weak ass pop aside from winning a legit title off a top five legit champ.

But then he totally redeemed himself by accepting a huge challenge and fighting one of the most feared and avoided boxes in the world and gave him damn good work until he bravely went out on his shield and never quit but his corner correctly stopping the fight due to bad eye injury.

NOW he next is fighting another highly feared and avoided young dangerous powerful hungry contender.

He could have easily said he's too big for the weight and moving up and thus vacating his title. After fighting at 160 and being very heavy before the fight it would have been seen as acceptable. Of course there would have been whispers of him ducking spence.

Anyway brook is a straight beast and deserves nothing but top respect for faking these past two figbts. Win or lose against spence he didn't duck nobody.

Of course sometimes history just remembers the winner and not the circumstances of what led to the fight.

I think spence is going to be in for a rude awakening when he realizes brook doesn't double over and retreat to the ropes in a shell every time he hits him with a shot. And when that straight as an arrow 1-2 keeps dropping down like a hammer and that eye starts to swell... And then a cracking 5-2 combination snaps his head up from behind his guard...

        Anyway brook gonna win!!

I'm so damn excited for this one, and I'm not even a true fan of either guy. I mean, I respect both their talents but I'm riding with Spence because I really like his attitude and I'm disappointed in Brook for taking that Golovkin fight because that was all about the cash.

Still, all credit to whoever wins, and may the best man win.

Fighting a feared middleweight is more than enough, IMO.

I think Spence is the real deal. Brook didn't flinch against porter and hung in there with ggg. Can't fault him for cashing a 5mil check. Tough first fight back. If anyone could have used a tune it him. But ya may the best man win.
