Why are people knocking floy/connor so hard?

There is no way this will be bad for boxing, or MMA. Floyd will win a UD, and we will have a GREAT under card. It will make boxing look good by nights end.

WHat is the problem? It's not like there is an alternative fight that this is stealing. Canelo- GGG already have their date.

    What is the big problem?

Because it's Mayweather. There's no belts, rankings etc involved. Him dominating the top MMA guy will make boxing look better to the casuals. They don't have to watch if they don't want to. BUT they still cry just because it's Mayweather.

People who order this fight expect a "Fight" this will be a boxing lesson... in other words those who paid for that 1% chance of a KO will be boooooooing!!! The fugg out of this because it's up to Mayweather what happens in this fight.

Floyd can slap Con around a couple rds & KO him or he can carry him to the end.
Either way those expecting blood, sweat & tears Wil be ass out.

          This^

Same posters praise Rungvisai's record even though he has 13 fighters who are currently retired 0-1-0 fighters who were brought in solely to pad his record.

Mayweather-McGregor isn't trying to be anything other than a big a money fight. There's no belts, neither fighters care about their post fight rankings in boxing, this is clearly not a legacy enhancing fight for either fighter except only if McGregor miraculously KO's Floyd then he'll go down as a boxing star but I doubt he cares about anything other than the money and fame involved and the same goes for Floyd.

McGregor doesn't seem like the kind of guy to get embarrassed for 12 IMO. When he's getting outclassed he'll do something to get DQ. His ego is to big.

Because this is a boxing forum and the only similarity this has to a real match is both guys are wearing gloves.

Mismatches happen all the time, the majority of boxing fights are mismatches. Just look at the undercard for most fights.

I have no problem with it personally. I'm not going to buy into the hype, and probably won't spend a dime on it, but it is an interesting gimmick. It is only a gimmick though.

I don't see a problem. 2017 has been a great year for boxing. Keep making fights in which the best fights the best, and this mayweather/mcgregor sideshow won't have any impact at all.
