Yeah that was a daft point by Ingle.... an Olympian doesn't mean you got a medal, it means you made your nations Olympic team and competed at the Olympics. That in itself is an achievement, people don't realise that it's a challenge to get on an Olympic team.... a lot of athletes don't make it. People just see the guy competing on TV but don't realise he had to do a lot of winning and competing to get there.
Also just to clarify an Olympic medallist is an Olympian that won a medal. You have to be an Olympian before you can be an Olympic medalist.
