I wasn't surprised at all mate. When they did the first presser a few months ago Spence was wearing a padded suit jacket to give the illusion he was bigger but really he isn't and he knows it.Comment

True, but he did destroy Algeri, something ruslan nor pacman couldn't do. And hes definitely shown the skills to be a potential star, but Saturday will reveal all, Brook as well has alot to prove. The Porter fight was a mess and really didnt prove anything in myopinion for both guys, super sloppy. The ggg figth showed he does have a chin thoughComment

The beauty of this fight is that it is a 50/50 matchup. We are about to see whether Spence can live up to the hype or whether Brook is elite. The criticism of Spence's opponents is a bit ridiculous. This is his 22nd fight. Most guys haven't fought anyone of note at that point in their career. Brook's 22nd opponent was some guy named Michael Jennings. He didn't fight a top guy like Porter until his 33rd fight. Look forward to seeing how this plays out!Comment

At the time Algieri faced him, Algieri had quite a bit of respect. He had beaten provo, got totally rolled by Pac, but then equaled Khan in every department. It wasn't that Spence beat him, it was how. Pac put him down multiple times, but couldn't finish him, and we know Khan couldn't either. Spence not only finished him off, but did it in emphatic fashion - no 'lucky' punches in there, Algieri got steamrolled.
Algieri was a test to see how Spence might stack up with Khan or Pac, and he outdid both by a large margin.
Styles make fights though, and we often get A beats B, B beats C, but then C beats A situations, so need consider the styles to see how Brook/Spence plays out. I don't think this goes the distance, they are both going to land on each other, and both feel it, and when Brook gets touched up he goes phone booth, and Spence is going to have the sharper combos and greater power when it heats up.
Brook will wear down as the weight drain catches up with him and the ending won't be far removed from the Golovkin fight.Comment
