I've seen the fight like 10 times or more. I have it on tape; and I'm not saying that fight wasn't tough; but it doesn't come close to Ali-Frazier III or Holmes-Norton or like fights. Tucker was in it for the first 4 or 5 rounds; but after that he was about surviving until that sad little rally in the 12th. Tony Tucker was big..that's it. His biggest wins he got by the skin of his teeth....Norris, McCall, even Douglas. Tucker was gettin his butt handed to him by Buster Douglas until Buster got winded and quit in the 10th.

Toney Tucker was the 80's and 90's equivalent to Joe Bugner....good boxer; but nothing special. And IMO received waaaay too many shots at the title or some symblance thereof.

The problem with Olivera and Padilla was that they couldnt crack an egg.

        Great fight however.

he still fought although he turned it to trying to survive. and tyson was still going at it. u can tell how hard tyson was punching whenever he missed plus that combined with the headmovement and footmovement from both i consider it a good fight

Emphasis on "good". It was a good fight and it's not Mike's fault that Tony wasn't up to the task; but it wasn't a great fight. Mike did exactly what he was supposed to do and had good stamina throughout; but there's a big difference in a fight like that and a fight where both men are going at it 100%.

Tyson-Ruddock II was a better fight than Tyson-Tucker. All I'm saying is that there's a big difference between good and great. Bowe-Holyfield I was great, Holmes-Norton was great, Ali-Frazier III and I were great, Marciano-Walcott I was great. See?

The part in bold is what I took exception to....that's just not true. Of course, I don't know how many fights you've seen or how many Ali fights you've seen. But, I have seen Ali in fight that make Tyson-Tucker look like a waltz. That's what the "" was for.

...and I do disagree with the Title of the thead as well. There have been many other fights that tried the staminas of it's participants far more than Tyson-Tucker.

jus movement alone can make some1 tired and we all know that ali didnt hav movement like tyson. as in bobbing and weaving and going to the side to find angles. trust me that **** is very tiring cause i do it
