Comments Thread For: Spence: I'm Not Worried About Crowd; Pressure All on Kell Brook

Errol Spence Jr. will fight outside of the United States for just the second time Saturday since he was eliminated from the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Spence will encounter a soccer stadium full of Kell Brook supporters, a crowd that should swell beyond 30,000 at Bramall Lane in Brook's hometown of Sheffield, England. The confident southpaw from suburban Dallas didn't look the least bit affected by fighting far away from home Wednesday, when he participated in a public workout in Sheffield to promote their fight for Brook's IBF welterweight title.

This isn't like other sports where players are affected by the crowd. When the man across from you is trying to beat you into submission that's all you're focusing on.

Great athletes thrive off being in a hostile environment. Jordan favorite place to play was MSG, especially in the playoffs.

You are so right - really, the UK judges are the ones that need to block out the crowd reactions...

The crowd in boxing tends to influence judges, the fighters themselves should be mentally stronger but there is always the crowds influence on the judges.

Don't know if any of you American fans have watched any boxing in the uk live ?

It's a complete different atmosphere to vegas

The fans are loud and rowdy but there's always respect to the foreign fighters .

There's no nasty feeling . Everyone wants to have a good drink and watch a good fight

Can't wait for fight night . Think its gonna be a close one but my money will be on a brook ud

Just hope the fight lives up to the hype
