I think it's still Mayweather even though he s retired. He has been famous for many times as long as Conor or Canelo. They are new comers while Mayweather has been famous since before they had their first fight. Mayweather is still the best known and most talked about man in combat sports.

It's still Floyd. There is more discussion about the possible Macgregor fight than there is about any other fight in boxing or MMA.

It is because all the most talked about fights been signed, mainly Ward/Kovalev 2 and Canelo/GGG.

McGregor/Floyd isn't really that interesting.

UFC cards are sold on the strength of a lot of known names on the undercards. Having said that, star power isn't simply doing big ppv numbers (which Pac has done repeatedly) but also on how well known someone is. Pac is simply the bigger international star. AJ is a more well known star in the UK and if he was walking down a street in NY Im sure he'd be more reocgnised than a short, pale Irish fella.
