Juggernaut, a shot Lewis defeated a prime Vitali. I always thought that Lewis was the clear number 1 heavyweight of all time? That resume of his is serious and even the pastprime Tyson he defeated was one of the best heavyweights at the time.
As i stated Lewis could defeat anyone but hes been also rocked before by guys who could reach him ,he was knocked out twice by Tyson sparring patrners ,rocked by Grant who is NO Vitali and had a handful with Briggs in the first few rnds ....Vitali on HIS best day making simply simple adjustments and FULL training camp along with more bigger fights under him ? Vitali for the win more than not .
Looking at juggernaut666's list I can't tell if he's being serious or he's a hilarious wind up merchant. I'm not familiar with his posting style.
1.) Lennox Lewis 41-2-1 (32 KO), Height: 6'5, Weight: 245 lb., Reach: 84"
Best there's ever been, bar none. Could've done with more charisma and wins over a pro Rid**** Bowe and a prime Mike Tyson. In his prime and on his game he beats any other Heavyweight from any other era. Beat every man he ever faced and his only losses were embarrassing lapses in concentration and/or lottery punches.
2.) Larry Holmes 69-6 (44 KO), Height: 6'3, Weight: 222 lb., Reach: 81"
A prime Holmes gives any Heavyweight boxer of any era a tough fight, beating the majority. As many have already said and continue to say, great technique and the best jab I have ever seen. All losses came post-prime.
3.) Tyson Fury 25-0 (18 KO), Height: 6'9, Weight: 260 lb., Reach: 85"
Tarnished his legacy through drugs, etc. Did end the reign of one of the most dominant Heavyweight champions of all time. Has an awkward, masterful boxing style combined with deceptive speed and great footwork. Would give anyone a tough fight. Can move higher up this list if he returns and regains his titles.
4.) Wladimir Klitschko 64-5 (53 KO), Height: 6'6, Weight: 245 lb., Reach: 81"
One of the most dominant Heavyweight champions of all time. Almost killed the division by making it uncompetetive for ten (10) years. Developed the most boringly effective, safety first boxing style which resulted in him hardly taking a punch. His legacy is hurt by boxing in a weak era.
5.) Muhammad Ali 56-5 (37 KO), Height: 6'3, Weight: 223 lb., Reach: 78"
Shook up the world and all that. Utilised a style which would not work in the modern era. Legacy is hurt by the 'Phantom Punch' and the glove cutting against Henry Cooper. His resume reads as a 'Who's Who' of great fighters from two (2) decades.
Honorable mention: Danny Williams 48-26-0-1 (36 KO), Height: 6'3, Weight: 259 lb., Reach: 79"
Humdilla. One of boxing's greatest fighters to have never won a world title. Won the British title while fighting with only one arm and went on to win the title outright two (2) times. Fell victim to some Ukrainian voodoo/good old cheating in his only World title challenge. Has been fighting for pay on the continent for years and many of his losses were actually wins.
You have Fury at number 3 says it ALL and your views of boxing? You dont even have Vitali who matches better than most than Wlad but i guess thats also to justify Fury here as well, you even stated Ali style wouldn't work in modern era but ranked him anyway ?

Vitali Klitschko was a top fighter but not top 5 H2H. He also got brutally knockout out by Pele Reid, his face turned to minced beef by an old Lennox Lewis and retired because he had a sore arm against Chris Byrd.

LOL ....you talk nonsense ,you even said Ali style wouldn't work in modern era but ranked him anyway ?

Don't hate, just because my list is better than yours. Muhammad Ali would beat a good 85% of all Heavyweights past and present, but at the top level today that rope-a-dope stuff wouldn't work.

Your list is comedic , you have Ali you self admit wouldn't be effective today which puts no less than top 20 guys over him , Fury number 3 bc he beat a disinterested Wlad .You have the lesser formidable Klitchko not even ranking Vitali in general (i guess Ali beats him,but according to you he wouldn't be effective TODAY ? )
You have Holmes number two who also give or take more or less Ali level (the same Ali you say wouldn't be effective TODAY ) who struggled with taller fighters ,wasnt a power puncher , fought alot around 210 andhis best win really was Gerry Cooney when he had his head on tight and was almost taken out in 2/3 RNDS in that fight from a body shot .
Really out of your list only Lewis and Klitchko are reasonable !
Mike Tyson: Fast, powerful, accurate and not easy to hit clean in his prime. Great finisher.
Sonny Liston: Had excellent and underrated boxing skills, good footwork, powerful. Broke his opponents down quickly. Solid chin, don't let the two fixed fights with Ali fool you.
Lennox Lewis: Big, strong, great jab and possessed a combination of skill and power.
Joe Louis: P4P had some of the best all around boxing skills of any HW. Could handle diverse styles--speed, power, size, he fought them all.
Evander Holyfield: At his best he can hang with all of them. Large, fast, boxers, brawlers. Solid chin and threw some of the best combinations of any HW.
I actually feel that Holyfield could be among the top 5 and it seems that others feel the same way. While Ali is my favourite boxer and an unparalleled hero in the sport, I really feel that Holyfield would decision him.

Great list, I don't see anyone in history beating Lennox Lewis in a trilogy, u might catch him not focused once, but when on his game the man was simply an unbeatable heavyweight.
I'd replace Wladimir with Vitali because Vitali was a more natural fighter with a tremendous chin.
A young Muhammad Ali wouldn't be able to deal with anyone on the list, his style wouldn't work on someone that big and skilled and that's y I agree on him being placed 5th. Larry Holmes could also be exchanged with Klitschko but other than the the list is just about right.
