Despite all logic I'm leaning Canelo

All close rounds go to Canelo and he wins..It goes against everything Ive said and thought for the last several years and yet I can't help but think that's how it's going down..In Vegas Canelo's the runner and in this instance I'm betting that the tie goes to the runner.

The runner? Is that a ******** expression or something ? Canelo isn't a runner in boxing terms.

These are two flat footed fighters that don't know how to fight backing up, which is why this match is so great. Both Canelo & Golovkin only know one way to fight and that's coming forward, while Golovkin holds the power advantage Canelo is the slicker of the two. The only way I see 3G winning this fight is by KO which is the likely scenario but if the fight goes 12 rounds then Canelo will be the victor b/c of the boxing politics no way 3G will get a decision over Cashnelo.

So you think GGG wins the fight but Canelo gets the decision? Like Ward vs Kovalev? Even worse? Yep that could happen, I myself can only see Canelo winning by a robbery and am pretty convinced that GGG will put him down, knock him out or at least dominate the fight so that its impossible to rob him, but we'll see. Still 4 months to go.

I think Canelo's 10 years younger and has a better resume than Jacobs.Id give Canelo a 52% to 48% betting edge over GGG.

It's not going out on a limb thinking Canelo may win.
He's younger, has a great chin, has fought better opposition, has more experience fighting in these big events.

Sorry it's a baseball term.Everything that's close in this fight is an advantage for Canelo.if its a close round then 2 of 3 judges will probably score that round for Canelo. The same way the referee always seemed to judge things in Floyd or Oscars favor, that should be true for Canelo as well.It takes a slight underdog like Canelo and makes him a slight favorite

most of the times the crowds have a big influence in the judges , if rounds are close crowds can do enough to swing the rounds one side or the other... ggg is just going to have to work a bit harder to win the rounds... if he wins 7 clear rounds he can win the fight, but if some of those rounds are close then it might go the other way and it wont necesary be a robbery...

In close fights, the Mexican always loses unless its in Texas.

BUT styles make fights and I can honestly see Canelo clearly winning. Moving around the ring does Canelo no good. Canelo should box center ring, slip and counter. Canelos quick reflexes will be very very telling the 1st 5rds. Meaning he will only have to win 2 more rds after that to secure a win assuming theres no KD's. As long as Canelo keeps his D tight and sustains a lil higher than normal punch count he will win a 7-5 type decision.
