I am not even a Thruman fan. Hoped he'll lose to Soto-Karass or to someone else.
But I already give him credit to what he has done.
He's a midget WW (5'7), may not be the most skillful but he can be exciting. Has a fan-pleasing style. And he's got a belt.

Thurman is not good. He would've been swallowed up 5 years ago by Mosley (shot Mosley), Cotto, Bradley, Manny, Floyd, Margs, Maidana, etc.

He struggled versus Jan Zaveck (something I'll never forget) and his best wins are a controversial win over Shawn Porter and MD against Danny "every fight is Christmas" Garcia. I mean...the guy has beat nobody.

And people wanna say Thurman should fight Floyd or Manny? Even Roach has said he would "love" the Thurman fight because Manny would look incredible again versus Thurman.
