Ward lost and Golovkin lost. It's time to admit it.

no he did not. it was mostly caught on the gloves and elbows. flashy for sure but a good judge can see that it wasnt landing clean. go rewatch it if need be. ggg's jab was a power shot and was smashing his head back over and over. those stats were bogus like all compubox garbage

Jacobs threw punches but nothing really connected at all, and i guess people gave him rounds because he was flexing and screaming throughout the fight. He came to not get KOed. It worked, but he still lost so moral victory for him, big fat L on his record. I had it 8-4 GGG.

People giving the fight to Jacobs are usually people dying to see GGG lose. GGG set a standard, if he isnt getting a KO/TKO win, he looks bad. Sometimes, you need to go 12 rounds and Jacobs isnt a slouch but he isnt better than GGG either. 7-5 or 8-4
you think fanboys care whether or not the punches actually land? just look at calzaghe-hopkinis. calzaghe lands 2 punches the entire fight and people said he schooled hopkins

Most fans get confused when fights are pretty competitive.

Jacobs did a very good job to not get KO'd but there is no way he came close to winning. Winning 3 or 4 rounds out of 12 is all he did. The vast majority of the time GGG engaged him he did the retreating and hardly ever took the lead.

Koval vs Ward was a much closer match the deciding factor was that the champ did very little in the second half of the bout to win it. His work rate goes to hell and he doesn't throw enough right hands. When your opponent has a weak hand (Wards right) you need to emphasis yours!!
Ward has an educated left with a good jab and very good hooks so that may have had Koval second guess letting his right go. None the less you need to take chances in close fights.
I expect a huge effort from Koval in the rematch, he must get into better condition and be more aggressive. If it develops into the first fight mode than Ward will win.

No need to rematch Jacobs, GGG is running out of time and needs to go after the money matches.
Jacobs had his shot and didn't go for the brass ring. Over!

I also rewatched the fight after and I agree. Jacobs surprised everyone with his performance but he didn't win.

he did very little and ward did what exactly.......even less therefore ward was winning? makes no sense. also his workrate did not go to hell i dont know where people get this from. some person said it and others agreed and then it just caught on i guess. he actually threw slightly more punches on average in teh second than in the first half of the fight. especially the last 4 rounds which i had him winning at least 3 if not all 4.

he also out threw ward in every round but 1 but yet i dont hear people saying wards work rate went to hell or he needed to do more. this shows the bias some people have when looking at fights. they expect certain guys to do more and they expect certain guys like ward to do less. just look at who was landing the cleaner punches...it was kovalev yet you thought he could do more so you gave it to ward who was actually doing much less.

Stop putting these fights in the same category. They were different, kovalev was clearly robbed, GGG won a close fight.

its juts the slick fanboys who are mad that people keep sayin ward robbed kovalev when he so obviously did. both ggg and kovalev landed the mch cleaner punches and controlled the ring. a recipe for a win if you are unbiased.
