It happens because after a few minutes ranting over the decision, nothing is done anymore. some "critics" stopped talking about the robberies, even legitimizing it. Sanctioning bodies don't even lift a finger to investigate. Take the case of delahoya-trinidad, it was a robbery in broad daylight but nothing is done to avert the decision.

We'll get terrible decisions until judges are more accountable. Right now judges can do whatever they want without explanation or oversight.
You want to give a guy a round for running and landing a few soft punches? No problem. How about awarding a round on the basis of one solid punch? Go right ahead.
Until the criteria for scoring a fight is more specific and until judges are better trained and more accountable, scoring a fight will continue to be a farce.

That Rances one seemed bad. I'm of the opinion that the N'Dam vs Murata fight was a issue with activity vs accuracy & not unsurprisingly activity won more swing rounds on the judges cards than I think most people wanna accept can happen & not be something corrupt. Personally I had Murata winning, but I thought a bunch of rounds were close & if one favors activity or just is harsher about inactivity then I & maybe most fans happen to be than there are more close rounds going N'Dam's way.

All in all doe boxing needs clearer guidelines about what wins a round to make it less up in the air than it currently is. Between that & juding judges & moving them up or down the ladder of important fights just like a boxer based on their good or bad scorecards would go a long way to correcting scoring problems.

That said I do think the wrong guy wins much less than boxing fans like to act like. And really thats all that matters cuz the W's & the L's are what get passed on down the line the most. Granted I see scorecards in damn near every other fight that make lil sense to me thats how nutty scoring overall is doe although likely have the right guy winning.

For starters, eliminate the 10-point-must rule. That would make it easier for judges to score a fight. Or harder to justify a score bought by a bribe.

Too many corrupt and/or incompetent judges. No one can convince me that guys like Moretti and Clements aren't on someone's payroll. Barthelemy's recent gift over Relikh is an ongoing example of this favoritism for house fighters and no doubt influence by promoters/networks/managers on some level. Don King was notorious for having judges in his pocket. I'm sure not much has changed today.

                      It was beyond a robbery...............

This was corruption at it's finest. It was so bad that I broke out laughing at the absurdity of the scores. I felt bad for the fighters of course who saw their dreams deferred or maybe never evening happening at all. There needs to be an independent ruling body that can over rule judges when suspect behavior occurs that can render a just verdict for a fighter.
