Julio Cesar Chavez the legend fought his 41st fight against a guy making his debut. His 50th fight was against a guy with a 1-15 record. HIs 66th fight was against someone with a 0-1 record. I don't hear people ripping him for those fights after he was an accomplished champion. Floyd is retired and coming back for a money grab fight only. What's the point of coming back to fight Thurman or Porter? If he beats those guy he still wont get credit and those fighters will go back to fighting lesser opponents.

I see what your saying. I guess the difference is Manny is still active, so he could fight crawford & thurman in his next 2 fights..he isn't finished yet.
If Floyd wants to call himself the best ever, he could follow in james j jeffries footsteps and come out of retirement and fight the champ, not a one off cherry pick. If he wants a cherry pick, he should stay retired... after all he also claims he is making plenty of money off all his investments. Sounds like lies to cover up his lies.

being the ''bad'' guy made may most of his money. it also worked for tyson and ali. mayorga found some financial success being the brash loudmouth as well.
morals ?!?!?!? this isnt some church function. may doesnt care about what haters think and, if im being honest, hes not going to listen to his fans when it comes to which fight he takes (unless the fans choice is also the same choice that gets him the most money).

I agree but i don't think he should come back for either of them cherry picks. Call yourself TBE, then you are automatically asking for hate. Most people appreciate humility. 'The best ever' should fight people who are greatest in their chosen sport, not a novice. He will still make big money vs actual decent boxers.
Anyway, we'll have to leave it there and agree to disagree.

you need to look at this as a business decision. there is ''interest'' in this sham of a ''fight''. SO BE IT. not a single one of us would say no to easy money. if anyone of us were 49-0 with his resume, wed come out of retirement for easy money.
