Russell vs. Escandon Fight Photos - National Harbor - From the MGM National Harbor "Mr." Gary Russell Jr. (28-1, 17 KOs) had a successful homecoming in front of a nearly sold out crowd as he defended his WBC Featherweight World title with a seventh-round stoppage against the very tough, strong-willed Columbian Oscar Escandon (25-3, 17 KOs) in the main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING.

Not getting the feel that Loma is the slightest bit interested in fighting him again at the moment, but if Russell is to move to 130, anyone else here like to see him go up against Gervonta Davis ? I'd be pretty interested to see that one.

Then if Russell got the IBF strap to dangle under Loma's nose (not sure he would beat Davis - would be a good fight), game on.
