  • Comments Thread For: Brook Feels Golovkin Might Be Too Much, Will Knock Canelo Out

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook is very familiar with WBC, WBA, IBO, IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs). Last September, Brook moved up by two full weight divisions to challenge Golovkin for the middleweight belts.

I always favoured Golovkin but after seeing their last two fights I have to agree with Mayweather that GGG is straight up and down, no special effects. Excellent power but there to be comfortably outboxed. So I'd say Jacobs would have a good chance in a rematch and that Canelo would beat him now, not a tk or anything but points.

I was watching the Brook fight again yesterday, and although he was sloppy GGG didnt leave him alone, was always doing damage with that hard jab. A big man with good feet like Jacobs can move and take it, but I don't think Canelo can keep him off, doesn't have the footwork and goes to the ropes too often. I think Golovkin mauls him ugly and stops him inside ten.

canelo will easy work little g. this is a fact. canelo will counter his jab with lefts and pull counter right hands. by the 4th round, golovkin will be hesitant to even throw jab. then it will just be target practice for canelo. and I agree with floyd. canelo will get the KO late. you can say what you want, but anybody who has stood toe to toe with canelo and traded shots gets knocked out. he's a hard puncher and he will have little g hurt and cut up EARLY. just watch the rosado fight. when you land on golovkin, it's very easy to open him up. and canelo will be landing huge FLUSH punches on him. something he's never experienced. canelo will also be getting to his body early on and sap his power. golovkin is tailor made for canelo. this is going to be a straight up showcase for canelo. golovkin will have moments here and there but he's simply not the caliber of fighter that canelo is.

If this fight a few yrs back GGG wins , today now that GGG has slowed down a little and lost some speed, Canelo wins maybe even by late stoppage. That being said I do hope GGG beats the diva though.

Brook running his mouth, focus on your fight with Spence let Canelo do his thing. Spence is going to murder you in that ring next week Brook... get your head in the game and stop running those lips.

I think canelo will make ggg respect him and cause him to think twice about just trying to walk him down. Canelo doesn't really have foot work thats why he relies in his really good upper body movement. He has really good counterpunching and will come back with some powerful combinations. I favor canelo in this fight but it wont be easy for either fighter

GGG will beat a Prime Canelo. Canelo couldn't even KO Midget Cotto and Bum Chavez Jr.
