That type of behaviour is criminality and does nothing but destroy boxing already mixed reputation with the public.

I'd even go as far as to ban the fighter for 12 months as a further deterrent, extreme but it would work.
Ban the fighter under what justification? Conspiracy, accomplice? Lol

The perpetrator should be banned but he'll also face criminal charges. The fighter has nothing to do with the independent actions of his uncle.

My point is that to prevent this stuff you need a deterrent, if the fighter can't fight then nobody gets paid. It's extreme yes, but boxing camps often have a certain type of collective culture and it is one way to clean up the sport. I know it's controversial and will likely not happen, but believe me...it would work very quickly.

Yes, he should be banned after he serves his jail time. That whole thing was totally ******. The foul didn't look intentional at all. Shyt happens sometimes. There's no reason to act like an idiot. I thought it was funny how the guy took his best shot and then just looked at him. Haha. But yes. Permanent ban. Doubt they will though.

Haha. I definitely see the parallels. Only I think he tops Santana. Santana just got Norris DQ'd over and over. Dirrell has gotten two different guys DQ'd. He's raised the bar.

No, we don't think about giving a lifetime ban in the future if he does it again. The lifetime ban comes in NOW, and he does prison time too.

Last night was shocking and an incredibly bad look for the sport. He does not get to come swanning back to the sport. **** that dude.

It wasn't that bad of a look. Throwing punches is a part of boxing. So someone getting punched in the face isn't that shocking. The guy wasn't even knocked down. Chill out with the extreme punishment. Two year ban and bagging trash on the highway. Anything more would be extreme.

Wouldn't want him arrested, but he should be punished by sanctioning body.

He's going to prison as he should. And no network should televise Dirrell again, the antics by him and his family are disgraceful to the sport, and no one gives a fck about him anyway. He's just another Haymon guy who gets tv time for no damn reason.
