Bad Stoppage...But GRJ Says No Loma Yet!

Yeah, GRJ was going to win this fight barring a miracle punch from Escandon...

...but if you see a fighter getting ready to take a knee that means he is at least somewhat cognizant and with his wits about him.

You give the 8 count and you see what happens after.

Didn't like the postfight whiff on a big rematch showdown tho.

GRJ says he doesn't want Loma until one of his last fights?

    Really? How sway!

Someone tell Gary Russell the rematch is probably the biggest cash option out there for him...Showtime definitely wants to see it again.

So do a lot of the rest of us.

I think he realized he looked sluggish tonight (due to the inactivity) and knew he wasn't ready for a Loma rematch.

The problem with Russell is that he's constantly inactive. He'll never be ready for a Loma rematch.

Lol, true. He's probably lucky Loma only had two fights under his belt when he fought him.

He was at his best when he fought Lomachenko the first time.

Talking about Loma for the last 12 months and when put on the spot he suddenly admits he wants him in his last career fight? WTF what a loser, he better shuts up now and stops using Lomas name to get attention. Another amerobum exposed as a fraud.

Some black panther posters will somehow duck the thread lol GRJ is good but he got totally outclassed by Loma. Loma is just getting better, he should move on. He could still get some belts

Russell was never gonna beat Lomachenko at any weight, but other than Loma, he's easily, head and shoulders above the best from 122-130.

He should call out that punk Rigo, who has his name as synonym for the work duck where Loma is involved.

Offered as much to fight Loma at 124 as he was to fight Donaire, more than his last 5 purses combined, and he declined.

                  Now thats a f/n duck.

He should unify first. I think he probably realizes hes can take out anyone at 126.
