Amateur fights matter now then? Then why is experience the go to excuse for Loma getting his ass whooped by a career journeyman?

Fighting in the pros is a step up. If Salido was fighting Loma in an amateur bout he would have lost be DQ with all the dirty tactics he was getting away with. There is no reason why two CHAMPIONS cannot fight one another right now at 130. No excuses.

If his own promoter says he's in no rush to fight the Ukrainian fighter, what else is there to argue about?

          1) Loma was robbed by scumbag Texas judges
          2) Corrupt referee Laurence Cole let Salido punch him in the stones over and over again
          3) Salido was 25 pounds heavier, didn't even try to make weight

Davis has 18 pro fights now, not two or three.

Davis could be competitive against Lomachenko because he's also very athletic, powerful, gritty with a good chin, skillwise he's never gonna be at that level but this is not the amateurs, Lomachenko lost to a mediocre 40 year old because the opponent made it a rough street fight so Davis would be a live dog in the fight, question is whether he'd be able stay mentally focused while getting outboxed early while being consistent or is he going to feel embarrassed and look for a way out.

If I was handling Davis I'd never put him in there with Lomachenko at the age of 22, he needs years of experience and confidence to be able to stay in the fight mentally, to be focused on turning this into a street fight no matter what that's his best chance of winning.

Would Mayweather Promotions even make a fight with Top Rank?

If you didn't see that Canelo was at least 15 lbs heavier on fight night then u should go watch another sport. Queen of the catchweights? 2 Catchweight fights in a 20 year long career with a difference of 2 lbs from the limit and he's the "queen of the catchweights"? Even when both opponents asked for the catchweight?

Canelo fighting a 36 year old natutally much smaller Floyd Mayweather is completely different from Davis fighting prime Lomachenko now, the risk vs reward is completely different. Davis doesn't have the most loyal fanbase in the world that's gonna back him no matter what, he's a black American that everyone is waiting for to fail so that they can call him a hypejob, once American fighters lose they get buried and that's y the sport is the way it is.

The fight should happen, but only when both fighters are bigger names, they should build a fight like this longer.

are we really making excuses for a world champion to duck another world champion?
