I'm not saying its ideal. Like I said I'd do St. Paddy's day if I was a decision maker in this whole thing. I'm simply saying Floyd vs Conor puts more asses in seats & gets more PPV buys & brings more money to Vegas than Canelo vs GGG.

So if this was a this one or that one situation, which it never was or was going to be, then anyone with skin in the game picks Floyd vs Conor cuz that's the BIGGER money fight with BROADER appeal.

I tend to think Spanish speaking boxing fans prefer Spanish speaking fighters & English speaking boxing fans prefer English speaking fighters. And I think the average sports fan & the random mfer that could be enticed into watching either of these fights show even more preference to people speaking their language.

That's just how it is. PPV numbers certainly suggest that more often than not being a English speaking Latino you do better PPV numbers than a non-English speaking Latino. I'd suggest that's why Canelo just got his first A side 1M buy fight, if it legit got 1M buys cuz I'm hearing conflicting reports.

triple G knocks alvarez clean out. FMJ gets hurt by conor(more than any pro boxer has done so far) but will go into defense mode for any remainder of the fight and win on points as long as he can stay from getting hit.

I think you are taking this thing to personal like many boxing fans do about random things & can't seem to digest the bigger landscape of the world around you in this discussion.

This fight isn't about you or me or any boxing fan. This Floyd vs Conor fight is bigger than boxing. It'll appeal to people who don't know f#ck all about boxing & have never had a conversation about boxing like we've had.

This kinda fight is like some Super Bowl sh^t. For an example, I don't give a f#ck about any non-combat sport....BUT the Super Bowl sometimes even sucks me in as a person who gives no f#cks about football. That's gonna be a good % of the people who buy the Floyd vs Conor fight. They don't give a f#ck about boxing, but are gonna be all like "take my money please" about the situation lol.

LOL it does sound like a dumbass idea I'll give you that, but they did have two black guys fighting on a Mexican holiday a couple Septembers back, although I'm sure Floyd learned from that since it was his worst PPV number since pre-Oscar.

I don't think there was ever any legit chance Floyd vs Conor was going to happen in Sept. any damn way cuz Conor needs more time to get in some time boxing + the kid thing (&/or the second kid he may or may not have on the way) so even talking about this in anyway but of speculation if it did happen is kinda silly.

I still don't believe it'll happen, although its looking more likely lately, but if they do agree I'd hope they take advantage of St. Paddy's day as the fight date. I think they reach maximum level of revenue + chaos + fun on that date.

And really f#ck the date the fight happens on any damn way, the pressers are gonna be the most fun part of the whole damn thing. They don't even need to announce the fight date, just tell me where & when the pressers will be held.

That would be the smart choice, but what will they do for almost a year to hype the fight?
