Deontay IS skilled: Unorthadox Drunken mantis style

Skill isn't just about having a jab or a shoulder roll.

Deontay is very skilled because he is so unorthadox his opponents dont know what to do then he lands the right.

well in most fights I seen most fighters have been able to hang with him its when wilder power show up when it makes a different. So .................... yeah its his power pretty much the only thing that makes him who he is.

His unpredictability and awkwardness are befuddling.

His defensive holes are deceptive and lure you into traps.

He can land punches from angles that no ordinary human can.

There is some truth to that. Besides, heavies play by different rules. It is not like he is going to fight any smooth technicians.

Dominating and playing with him ya'll!

I'm sayin! peep tha technique! how many HW can shift into a 360°?

Not even Vitalio Klitschko played with Arreola like this, but Deontay did it with a BROKEN HAND. Come on man! this is something special Deontay is going down as next great, deal with it.

Lol at him doing the hula hoop in the ring.

He does have a special technique tho.. Look at him here sitting on the canvas after being dropped by feather fisted Sconiers.. He looks so grateful.

Wilder has skills, what he lacks is discipline and consistency. But I get why people want to see him in with more high calibre fighters to properly gauge him. When he fought Stirvirne, he had such a disciplined, skillful, and co-ordinated performance that you thought, wow, this guy is something else. He also introduced new skill sets after that fight that he hadn't had before, which showed that they were working on some new things in training.

The problem is that he doesn't put it all together into a complete package, it almost seems like he just tryna show the fans his new skill that he learned in training rather than using it when he actually needs it or when the right opportunity presents itself.

Also, I don't like him against slick, cagey southpaws. Man Szpilka was very cagey and slick in that fight. I remember he said prior to the fight that he been training specifically for Wilder and he would show Wilder things he never seen before. I laughed and dismissed his claims obviously but damn fight night I shocked.

The cagey southpaw style really troubled him, but I think he would land easier on a bigger target like Ortiz. That would be a real monster fight.
